DEPUTY SHERIFF


  • Carefully investigates all complaints.


  • Have current State of Florida law Enforcement standards with a clean background.


  • Respond to calls in a safe manner.


  • Provide patrol of assigned areas.


  • Prevent the commission of crimes by using lawful means.


  • Resolve conflicts.


  • Assist citizens.


  • Provide Rescue Services/First Aid when appropriate.


  • Be familiar with the county, local neighborhood and local business.


  • Remain current on all local and state laws.


  • Starting salary approximtely $25,000.


    • RESERVE DEPUTY


  • Maintain job description of full time deputy.


  • Volunteer the minimum hours a month as required.


  • May receive paid work through off duty employment or working in court house.



    • CORRECTIONS OFFICER/DEPUTY


  • Know all state laws regarding care and custody of inmates.


  • Have current Corrections Officer standards from Florida with a clean background.


  • Be responsible for the reception, custody and release of inmates.


  • Maintain professional attitude at all times.


  • Maintain order and discipline within the facility.


  • Properly investigate and document any incident within the facility.


  • Be alert for any and all security violations.


  • Search all inmates entering the facility for contraband.


  • Keep a vigilant eye over the inmates to ensure yours and other officers safety.


  • Salary $24,000.
