Captain Gary Sache is a life long resident of Levy County and began his law enforcement career in 1977 as a dispatcher/ jailer. In 1980, he moved to the road patrol division and was eventually promoted to the rank of Sergeant in 1988 and given a shift of road deputies to supervise. In 2000, he was promoted to the rank of lieutenant and given command of the entire patrol division. In 2002 he was promoted to the rank of Captain and continues to command the patrol division.
