Criminal Investigations Commander

The C.I.D. Commander is responsible to provide immediate response from the Investigations Division to calls of murder, rape, robbery, burglaries, fraud and other offenses designated by the Sheriff or Director of Law Enforcement. The C.I.D. Commander is also responsible for the Crime Scene/Evidence Division and it's response to crime scenes for the proper collection and storage of evidence.

The C.I.D. Commander is the liaison officer with other jurisdictions in reference to investigations, coordinates a friendly working relationship with those jurisdictions and provides direct administrative and operational supervision to the personnel assigned to the Investigations Division.

The C.I.D. Commander is also responsible for reviewing all investigative reports submitted by the personnel in the Investigations Division and reassigns such cases that may require extensive follow up investigation or special attention or direct additional investigative efforts to be made by other members.
