Director of Corrections

The Director of Corrections is the administrator to whom all Corrections staff are responsible. The Director of Corrections is the highest ranking official in the Levy County Sheriff's Office jail facility.

The Director assists in the preparation of the Corrections Department annual budget, approves purchase orders and oversees that all departmental equipment is properly maintained. The Director is responsible for reviewing all policies and procedures affecting departmental operations, ensuring their consistency with the goals and objectives of the department and to ensure comprehension of this by subordinates.

The Director is responsible for the efficiency of the Corrections department discipline and morale and to investigate or cause to be investigated, all complaints by citizens and personal of misconduct, and submit a report of those findings to the Sheriff.
