Patrol Commander

The Watch Commander is responsible for the efficiency, discipline and morale of the patrol officers under his command. The Watch Commander is responsible for investigating complaints by citizens and reports by personnel of misconduct, neglect of duty and competency of the officers under his command.

The Watch Commander provides general supervisory and technical assistance to the subordinates under his command. The Commander insures that each sergeant under his/her supervision understands the objectives of their assignments, the operational procedures required in performance and the reporting processes necessary to record the results.

The Watch Commander is also responsible in the preparation of the patrol division goals and objectives and in the annual budget preparations as assigned.
